Sqrups will occupy a 10,546 sqm unit in Building 1 of the logistics park, which is scheduled for delivery in August 2025. As part of the agreement, GLP is tailoring the space to the client’s needs, including an expansion of the office area, which will house Sqrups’ new Spanish headquarters.

This agreement marks the start of operations at OAXIS GLP Park Madrid Villaverde, the largest logistics real estate development in Spain, spanning over 280,000 sqm of land and offering a total buildable area of more than 170,000 sqm. Located in Madrid’s Villaverde district, OAXIS is positioned as a strategic hub for next-generation logistics operations.

“OAXIS GLP Park Madrid Villaverde was created with the ambition of becoming the leading logistics node in Southern Europe, and this first lease agreement is a milestone that confirms the strength of the project and its appeal to top-tier operators,” said Miguel Monreal, development director at GLP Spain. “We’re very pleased to welcome Sqrups, a company with strong growth potential, which has chosen us not only for its operations but also to host its new corporate headquarters in Spain.”

Client profile and strategic advantages

This project is especially suited for companies operating in B2B, B2C, or last-mile logistics, thanks to its excellent connectivity to the city of Madrid and key urban centers across the region. Its location in Villaverde offers major advantages in accessibility—by road, city buses, metro, and commuter rail—as well as proximity to green areas such as the Metropolitan Forest and the Julio Alguacil Gómez Forest Park. The site also benefits from access to a large labor pool, making it an optimal location for companies with high staffing needs.

Sustainability and wellbeing as core pillars

OAXIS has been designed according to the highest standards in sustainability and wellbeing and is certified BREEAM Excellent. The facilities are adaptable to meet each client’s specific needs, with flexible unit sizes and turnkey developments available.

More projects underway

Following this first lease, GLP is in advanced negotiations for additional leases in Building 1, as well as for custom-built, turnkey projects in other areas of the park. These developments further strengthen OAXIS’s positioning as a European benchmark in urban logistics.
