GLP welcomes Dachser and FM Logistic to its new logistics platform in Arras

Paris, 05 July 2023 – GLP, the leading global business builder in logistics, digital infrastructure, renewable energy and related technologies, announces the handover and lease of Magna Park Arras 3. The 50,000 SQM logistics platform, which was launched as a speculative development, was leased prior to completion to two leading logistics companies. Dachser has leased 21,358 SQM and FM Logistic has leased 28,614 SQM.

This ultra-modern logistics park comprises of five units, 2,000 SQM of office space and 48 dock doors. Best-in-class sustainability features have been incorporated to reduce the building’s energy consumption during the operational phase. Outdoor rest areas and sports facilities have also been provided for the well-being of employees. The platform is aiming for BREEAM Very Good certification.

Located in the Pas de Calais region, just 52km from Lille, 185km from Paris and 200km from the Port of Rouen, Magna Park Arras benefits from direct access to the A1 and A26 motorways. Highly sought after for its location and accessibility, the Greater Arras region is attractive to occupiers.

This latest development brings GLP’s total portfolio in Actiparc, where Magna Park Arras is located, to 100,000 SQM. GLP has been operating within the Actiparc area for two decades, having established its first 24,000 SQM building over 20 years ago. Given the merits and commercial strength of the region, GLP proceeded to develop a second 25,000 SQM building, which was successfully leased in the first half of 2022.

Philippe Graziani, Managing Director, GLP France remarked: “We are delighted to welcome Dachser and FM Logistic, two renowned logistics providers, to Magna Park Arras 3. This third development is the fruit of a great adventure that began 20 years ago. We were the first to invest in Actiparc, and we would like to thank the local authorities for their unfailing support throughout the fulfilment of this major project.

François Régnier, Managing Director of FM Logistic France commented: “As a French logistics player, this new partnership strengthens our presence in the Hauts-de-France region, where we already have 9 sites. We’re delighted to be playing our part in contributing to the local economy and, more broadly, the region’s development.”

Julien Dumaine, General Manager of DACHSER Hauts-de-France commented: With 20,000 SQM of warehouse space and 24 dock doors, this new building will enable us to meet strong demand from our customers for our combined transport and warehousing services. Strategically located at a crossroad, this platform puts us close to our customers’ import and export activities throughout Europe. What’s more, this building is also in line with our search for a warehouse that meets high environmental standards.”

Gilles Petit, Asset Management Director at GLP France concludes: “We now have 100,000 SQM of logistics space in the Actiparc area. Demand is strong in this sector, and the Hauts-de-France region continues to attract users and service providers because of its location and the quality of its logistics offering. Launched as a speculative development, the building is already fully booked, and we thank our tenants, Dachser and FM Logistic, for their confidence.”
