Valencia, 1 March 2023 – The Valencian community welcomes GLP and Romar Global Care, the manufacturer of personal care, hygiene and drugstore products, to the official presentation of a new 50,401 SQM warehouse in G-Park Sagunto. The development will facilitate Romar Global Care’s next stage of growth in Sagunto, doubling its production and storage capacity.

The official presentation of the warehouse was attended by the Mayor of Sagunto, Darío Moreno Lerga, the Regional Secretary for Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Trade and Consumer Affairs of the Generalitat Valenciana, Empar Martínez Bonafé, and representatives of both companies. Built on a plot of almost 80,000 SQM, the warehouse adds prime new industrial and logistics space to G-Park Sagunto, with an avant-garde design and strategic location.

Martínez Bonafé highlighted “the added value” that logistics partners represent for an industry in which “companies are transformed and continue to grow, an example of which is this project.”

Within this context, the regional secretary pointed out that more than 14 million euros have been invested in the chemical sector: “If we are contributing this amount, it is because these companies are driving three times that investment.”

Backing up the first argument, Moreno pointed out that, as far as the administration is concerned, it will continue to work to revitalise the region, as “it is very important to create a consolidated hub to promote growth.”

During the inauguration of the infrastructure, built in turnkey format, both companies underlined the strategic importance of the 50,401 SQM dedicated to the production, storage and distribution of RGC products.

Romar Global Care’s Strategy Director, Pablo Gaya remarked: “This is a unique project as it will open new horizons of growth for our company and add significant value. In addition to doubling our production capacity, generating employment and continuing our commitment to innovation and sustainability, it will provide facilities to meet the growing demand for our high-quality products, which is aligned with our growth objectives.”

Miguel Monreal, Director of Development of GLP in Spain reflected: “G-Park Sagunto is an ambitious and exciting project for GLP. Our first investment in the Valencian Community includes the latest advances in construction and quality standards that align with the ultimate goal of all our developments: to exceed the market average.”

The site, which both companies expect to be operational by the end of this year, includes major advances in terms of sustainability, with efficiency measures aimed at energy savings. The building is certified BREEAM Very Good and features other sustainability initiatives such as optimised corridor structure, high-strength floors, daylight optimisation systems and a photovoltaic installation.
