Milan, October 5th, 2022 – GLP today announces that it has acquired a site in the municipality of Anagni (FR), to develop a Grade A warehouse facility with a total leasable area of 22,000 SQM.

The plot is located in a key logistics area within the Roman market, thanks to its excellent road links and strategic position in close proximity to the A1 highway – the main axis between Rome and Naples.

Construction of the site is scheduled to begin in November 2022 and the property is expected to be available by Q2 2023. The structure will be built according to the highest quality and ESG standards, and the warehouse will be certified BREEAM Very Good.

Once completed, the project will further strengthen GLP’s presence in the Rome area. GLP already has a strong portfolio of properties in the region, having acquired developments  located in Colleferro, Anagni and Santa Palomba last year, and has recently begun construction on a new site in Colleferro.

Marco Belli, Country Director at GLP Italy, commented: “The Roman market is one of the most dynamic institutional markets for Italian logistics and is developing rapidly, especially along the A1 motorway, the main axis of the country. With this acquisition, which increases our pipeline of future assets, we are cementing our presence in the market. Given the growing demand for modern and quality logistics spaces and the difficulty of finding new land in well-connected areas, this site will allow us to develop a modern logistics asset built to the highest ESG standards which will help us support our customers’ business needs.”

GLP was supported in this acquisition by Dentons (Legal, Financial and Tax advisor) and The Blossom Avenue (Technical advisor).
