Milan, 27th May 2024 – GLP, a leading global business builder, owner, and operator of logistics real estate, digital infrastructure, renewable energy and related technologies, has today announced the acquisition of a 25,000 sqm site near Rome to build a new state-of-the-art warehouse, G-Park Colleferro 3. Construction is expected to be completed in early 2025.

Targeting a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating, the warehouse will be more than 11,000 sqm in size.  Its strategic location near the Rome metropolitan area will allow easy access to the city as well as to southern Italy more broadly through direct access to the A1 motorway, as well as close connection with both Rome Fiumicino and Ciampino airports and the port of Civitavecchia.

Forming part of a logistics cluster, G-Park Colleferro 3 will be close to both G-Park Colleferro 2 and G-Park Colleferro 1 as well as GLP’s three portfolio assets in the municipality of Anagni.

Marco Belli, Country Director of GLP Italy, said:

‘From a logistics perspective, the metropolitan area of Rome continues to grow in strategic importance. We continue to see strong interest from operators looking for flexible, modern and accessible real estate with good connectivity to the A1 motorway, which combined with the limited availability of properties has presented an excellent opportunity for us.  We look forward to initiating construction on the site and embedding the highest standards of sustainability and technological innovation while sensitively integrating the asset with the local area.
