GLP announces that it has signed the first lease agreement for G-Park Valsamoggia, a new development in the Bologna area, with NCV, an Italian 3PL.
G-Park Valsamoggia, which will be completed by Q1 2024, is a modern warehouse totaling 93,000 SQM. The building will feature 93 loading bays, as well as facilities and offices located in an area of over 2,500 SQM. The building will be built according to high quality standards and a strong focus on sustainability: environmental performance is guaranteed by BREEAM Excellent certification.
The warehouse is located in one of the main logistics hubs in Northern Italy. The Bologna area serves as an intersection for goods, due to its connection to the main motorway junctions. It is strategically located on the A-1 motorway and at the intersection of the highway connecting the three major logistics locations: Milan, Verona and Rome.
GLP has leased 23,000 SQM to NCV, an Italian 3PL working in the refrigerated and industrial transport, platform management and advanced handling performance sectors. NCV is active in the pharmaceutical, industrial, airport, special transport, parking management, packaging, refrigerated and food sectors.
Marco Belli, Country Director of GLP Italy, said: “This contract demonstrates the liveliness that has characterised the Italian logistics market in recent months, as well as indicating strong customer demand for our new Valsamoggia property. The agreement with NCV is an important first step in the property’s rental strategy, and we expect to sign more leases soon. This project is part of GLP’s broader strategy of growing its portfolio in Italy. There are currently six ongoing projects totaling approximately 300,000 SQM, with development either completed or already started, and there are new acquisitions planned for next quarter.“
