Milan, 15/07/2024 – GLP, a leading global business builder, owner, developer, and operator of logistics real estate, digital infrastructure, renewable energy, and related technologies, has announced that it has completed the construction of G-Park Valsamoggia logistics hub in the Bologna region and signed a leasing agreement for the last portion of the site, which is now fully let.

The logistics hub features 93,000 SQM of warehouse space, including outdoor relaxation areas, parking spaces for trucks and cars, with recharging facilities for electric vehicles. Current tenants include Ducati which occupies 50,000 SQM alongside NCV, an Italian third-party logistics firm, that has a lease for 23,000 SQM of space. This agreement, with an important player of the automotive industry, to rent the remaining 20,000 SQM, means all of G-Park Valsamoggia is now leased. The addition of the park strengthens GLP’s Italy asset portfolio which now totals 880,000 SQM, a new milestone for the firm.

Located in one of the main logistics areas in Northern Italy, the hub is c.4km from the Valsamoggia motorway exit. The Bologna region serves as a freight hub and is situated on the A-1 motorway at the intersection connecting Milan, Verona and Rome.

The building is certified as BREEAM Excellent for New Construction, meeting one of the highest standards for sustainability in its design and construction. It also includes the capacity to install a photovoltaic solar roof and energy-saving measures such as insulated facades and roofing, a smart Building Management System and meters to monitor utilities.

Marco Belli, Country Director of GLP Italy, said: “We are pleased to have completed the construction of G-Park Valsamoggia and signed a new lease agreement. Our approach in Valsamoggia forms part of GLP’s ambition to consolidate its position in Italy with further developments underway including, an additional 40,000 SQM in the Rome area and the delivery of a new asset in Landriano (Pavia) of 17,000 sqm.”
