GLP announces that it has signed a new lease with FAST ČR, one of the largest domestic distributors of electronics and household appliances, at GLP Park Brno Holubice. The site is now 80% leased, with 14,000 SQM of space remaining.

FAST ČR will use the space for the distribution of goods in Bohemia and Moravia and the provision of white electronic goods, i.e. washing machines, dishwashers, refrigerators, etc. The company joins existing customers Zásilkovna, fischer automotive systems and ROHLIG SUUS Logistics, which have signed lease agreements in the past months. Holubice Park is designed as a multifunctional facility with the ability to adapt the space to individual companies. All phases of construction should be completed during 2023.

Petr Kouba, CFO of FAST ČR commented: « We chose Holubice Park because of its ideal location, which will help us with our expansion in Moravia. We were also convinced by the very transparent and professional behaviour of the GLP management. »

Jan Palek, GLP’s Director for the Czech Republic and Slovakia remarked: « Companies should move into the complex next year and create dozens to hundreds of jobs. Of the 70,000 SQM, the last 14,000 SQM remains to be leased. We are negotiating with several interested parties, and we expect that the entire area will be leased by the end of the year. »

Focusing on sustainability and low operating costs pays off

The quick lease of the entire commercial zone confirms that GLP’s strategy of focusing on quality and sustainability is paying off. The Holubice area is designed to be low-energy, environmentally conscious and friendly to the surrounding communities.

The area will blend into the surrounding environment and the park landscaping will serve as a recreational space for employees. GLP is committed to ensuring that projects built by the company benefit their surroundings and improve the infrastructure of the surrounding communities. To this end, the company is helping the village of Holubice to increase the capacity of its water supply line and is participating in the upgrade of its wastewater treatment plant. A fruit tree bio-corridor is also under construction and plans are underway to work with the municipality on other projects.

Aleš Růžička, Managing Director and Technical Director of GLP, commented: « Heat pumps will be used in the area, with the buildings being well insulated. The roofs will be fitted with photovoltaic panels, which will significantly contribute to the reduction of operating costs throughout the buildings. »

Who is who in GLP Park Brno Holubice
