GLP announced today that it has begun earthworks at its site in Landriano (PV) and has laid the first pillar of a Grade A warehouse facility with a total leasable area of 17,000 SQM.

The new building will be constructed on land recently acquired by GLP of the size of 55,000 SQM and will be developed in partnership with general contractor Engineering 2K.

The building will aim for “BREEAM Excellent for New Construction protocol” – meeting the highest standards of sustainability in its design and construction, testifying to GLP’s commitment to go beyond the industry standard of BREEAM In-Use certification. The roof will be prepared for photovoltaic solar power and charging points for electric vehicles provided. The building includes a number of energy-saving measures, such as insulated facades and roofs, the use of low environmental impact refrigerant gases in the air conditioning system, a smart Building Management System, and meters to monitor utilities.

The city of Landriano is located in the prime logistics market of Milan, not far from its city center and close to access to the A1 highway.

„In Landriano we are starting our first 2024 construction project,“ comments Marco Belli, Country Director of GLP Italy. “Our second project will start in the province of Bergamo. Customers are showing interest in the new building, which, in line with our development strategy, in addition to its excellent geographic location, will be built to the highest environmental standards.“
