19,000 SQ M unit leased to Alza and a 11,000 SQ M unit leased to Hortim, two key e-commerce and retail logistics players in the Slovakian market
13th October 2020 – GLP, a leading investor and developer of logistics warehouses and distribution parks has leased a 19,000 SQ M warehouse at its GLP Park Bratislava Senec, in Slovakia to Alza and an 11,000 SQ M unit to Hortim.
Alza is the largest internet retailer and e-commerce innovator in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In 2014, Alza launched its expansion across Europe in 2014 and is now active in many European countries.
It will use the warehouse as a drive-through pick-up point, as well as a distribution hub for its customers in Slovakia, Moravia and Hungary. Alza has been for operating in GLP Park Bratislava Senec since 2015 when it leased a 12,000 SQ M unit, and has since organically expanded to occupy 47,000 SQ M of logistics space within the park. The unit, designed for Alza, has been upgraded with an increased floor slab thickness for potential mezzanine installation, outside sheds for lunch breaks, and a drive-through window and gate.
Hortim is a trading and logistics company with fresh and processed vegetables and fruits, providing services for foreign and domestic producers and retail networks of fruit and vegetable suppliers. The 11,000 SQ M unit has been leased on a 5-year term. It intends to use the warehouse as a cold-storage distribution centre for fresh fruits and vegetables. Hortim is a new customer of GLP. The unit has been designed to accommodate cooling technology, which was delivered by Hortim.
Located 20 KM from Bratislava city centre, GLP Park Bratislava Senec, comprises a total of approximately 147,000 SQ M of warehouse space.
