GLP has received its first BREEAM “Excellent” certificate in Poland for a building developed in 2022 at the Pomeranian Logistics Centre.

Certified BREEAM “Excellent”, the facility stands out for its above-standard height of 12 metres, which offers more storage room in a smaller area. The rooftop is solar-ready, and the building is fitted with LED lighting, energy-saving heating and ventilation systems, as well as smart metering systems. The office spaces are provided with quality sound insulation and exterior louvres to regulate daylight access. Next to the building there is a wildflower meadow and a relaxation area, including a gym, as well as bicycle stands.

Much like other facilities at the Pomeranian Logistics Centre, the latest building has excellent access to key sea, road, rail and air routes. The project is located next to the Baltic Hub, the largest deep-water port in the Baltic Sea. GLP has already developed nearly 200,000 SQM of advanced warehouse and production space at the Pomeranian Logistics Centre.

Christophe Brzeziński, Head of Technical Development at GLP, commented: “We’re happy that our sustainability practices have been recognised by independent experts. GLP buildings stand out in the market for their sustainable design and operation solutions, especially in terms of energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions. These features provide concrete solutions and tangible benefits for users and the local community. We’re proud that the first property in our Polish portfolio has achieved this milestone; more of our buildings are currently undergoing certification. Achieving BREEAM Excellent is an important indication of our ongoing commitment to sustainable development.”
