Paris, 18 October 2022 – GLP announces that Mars Logistics, a company of the Japanese Hitachi Transport System Group, has just signed a lease of almost 5,200 SQM in the Logistics Park Marly-la-Ville from GLP.
Established in 1989 in Turkey, Mars Logistics is an international group specialising in the provision of multimodal logistics services. After setting up three sites in Spain in 2019, Mars Logistics continues its expansion across Europe and is now establishing itself in France, thus pursuing its growth strategy while meeting the support needs of its customers. Mars Logistics’ portfolio includes renowned companies specialising in the textile, cosmetics, electronics and automotive sectors, among others.
Serkan Paksoy, Country Manager, Mars Logistics France, comments: “We selected this site for two specific reasons: its location, which allows us to ensure our distribution in the north of France and Ile-de-France region for our flows from our rail hub in Bettembourg (Luxembourg). But also, for the layout of the building, the spaces are well thought out and offer an optimal storage area, perfect for our cross-docking activity.”
Mars Logistics will be recruiting around 30 people by the end of the year to launch its operations in France.
Completed in 2014 and managed by GLP, this class A building, located in the ZI Moimont de Marly-la-Ville, benefits from a prime location in the heart of France’s leading consumer base, in the Val-d’Oise department (95). It serves Paris in less than an hour and offers privileged access to the A1 motorway.
Gilles Petit, Asset Management Director of GLP concludes: “We are proud to have been chosen by Mars Logistics and to accompany them in their expansion project in the French market. This is in line with our purpose to continue to meet our customers’ space requirements.”
