Madrid, 10th February 2025 – GLP, a leading global business builder, owner, developer, and operator of logistics real estate, digital infrastructure, renewable energy, and related technologies, maintained its strong performance in Spain at the end of 2024 with three new projects and has seen momentum continue into 2025 with a healthy ongoing development pipeline.

In 2024, GLP was particularly active across Spain consolidating its presence in key logistics locations. This included the delivery of the 29,000 SQM G-Park Masquefa (Barcelona) project, leased to Logisteed, which exemplified GLP’s commitment to delivering high-quality logistics spaces that meet evolving market demands. The building features an innovative design surrounded by vineyards.

GLP also delivered Magna Park Tauro 1, a 98,500 SQM asset for Alcampo, located in Illescas, Toledo, another of Spain’s key logistics hubs. This project has been designed to operate efficiently and continuously through the night.

G-Park Getafe near Madrid, currently available for lease, has set a new benchmark for efficiency and sustainability, earning GLP Spain’s first and GLP Europe’s fifth BREEAM Outstanding certification—one of only three in Spain.

In Catalonia meanwhile, GLP leased the 16,000 SQM G-Park Santa Perpetua to international logistics operator De Rijke.

Last year, GLP Spain also completed the sale of the Venus portfolio, consisting of three fully-let Grade A Spanish logistics assets located in Valls, Illescas and Guadalajara with a combined footprint of 113,000 SQM.

The company’s current portfolio includes 381,337 SQM of operational assets and 277,756 SQM of development land. GLP currently has two available warehouses for lease: Magna Park Tauro 3 in Illescas (35,126 SQM) and G-Park Getafe in Madrid (22,190 SQM).

Looking forward, GLP’s development pipeline includes the ongoing construction of the 280,000 SQM Oaxis GLP Park Madrid Villaverde in Madrid. Work on the first building, Oaxis 1 (26,368 SQM, divided into three modules), is progressing well. Earthworks covering 125,000 SQM have been completed, preparing the land for further projects. Development of green areas, including a padel court, picnic area, and outdoor gym, is expected to commence imminently. The pipeline also includes the 48,843 SQM expansion of Magna Park Tauro 2 in Illescas which remains on track further strengthening the area as a logistics hub.

GLP has also installed its first GLP Clean Energy photovoltaic plant in Sagunto, Valencia, as part of its renewable energy initiatives. G-Park Sagunto features a rooftop solar PV plant of 6,720 solar modules. With 3.7 MWp of power generation capacity, the installation will supply the equivalent of 1,642 Spanish households. The system is projected to generate savings of around 2000 tons of CO2 per year over its life span.

Óscar Heras, Director of GLP Spain, concludes: “2024 was a very busy and successful year for us in which we consolidated our presence in Spain and in particular in the Spanish green market as we reinforced our commitment to sustainability. With a clear vision, a diversified portfolio and strong pipeline, GLP Spain is well positioned to maintain its momentum into 2025.”

GLP continues to anticipate future needs and provide innovative solutions that drive efficiency and sustainability in the logistics sector.
