GLP completes multi-level parking deck in Magna Park Berlin-Werder (Havel)

Frankfurt, 02 March 2022 – GLP, a leading investor and developer of logistics warehouses and distribution parks, has completed a four-storey parking deck in Magna Park Berlin-Werder (Havel) and leased it on a long-term basis to its existing customer Amazon. The parking deck offers more than 700 parking spaces for vans on four levels. It is located directly alongside the existing distribution centre which Amazon moved into in 2019.

A further 140,000 SQM of modern logistics space is planned for development at Magna Park Berlin-Werder (Havel) for other GLP customers at various stages in the future. Construction is scheduled to start this year.

Magna Park Berlin-Werder (Havel) is located to the south-west of Berlin, directly on the A10 motorway, the Berlin motorway ring. It therefore has a direct connection to the A9 (Berlin-Leipzig) and A24 (Berlin-Hamburg) motorways. Travel time to the A2 (Berlin-Hanover) motorway is only seven minutes. The facility is located 14 kilometres from Potsdam and 30 kilometres from Berlin. It is 157 kilometres from Leipzig, 236 kilometres from Hanover and 280 kilometres from Hamburg.

Patrick Frank, Country Director at GLP Germany, comments: “The expansion in Magna Park Berlin-Werder (Havel) is a further step in the site’s dynamic upward trend. The park’s rapid growth demonstrates that our sites’ combination of top strategic locations and first-class building facilities and functionality, together with GLP’s sustainable approach, is exactly what customers are looking for.”
