Amsterdam, 14 June 2022 – GLP today announced that it has leased an approximately 52,000 SQM warehouse space divided over two units to Dayes B.V., a developer and distributor of everyday household essentials. With this lease, both the first and second phases of this high-end logistics development, called G-Park Zevenaar, are complete.
G-Park Zevenaar is located in the Arnhem/Nijmegen region in the east of the Netherlands and is part of an important larger logistics area, known as Logistics Valley, which connects the two main ports of the Netherlands (the Port of Rotterdam and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol) with the German Rhine-Ruhr valley.
In recent years, this area has been among the top logistics hotspots in the Netherlands. The main advantage of the region is its proximity to the German Ruhr area and its location on the main transport routes connecting Rotterdam and Amsterdam with the European hinterland, allowing customers to easily access a large area of Europe in a short time.
As with all GLP’s developments, G-Park Zevenaar meets strict ESG criteria and quality standards, with a number of sustainability features across the site designed to reduce energy consumption and respect the surrounding environment. In this transaction, GLP was commercially advised by Bridgegap and Appel Realty and legally advised by DLA Piper Nederland.
Philippe Hendriks, Country Director of the Netherlands & Belgium at GLP, commented: “We are very pleased to welcome Dayes B.V. as our new tenant at G-Park Zevenaar and also complete the full development of approximately 133,000 SQM of high-quality logistics space in Zevenaar. The demand we have seen for G-Park Zevenaar once again confirms the quality of the development and the strength of the location, in Bussiness park 7Poort in Zevenaar.”
