GLP announces 70,000 SQM of speculative space in Northern France

GLP, a leading investor and developer of logistics warehouses and distribution parks, has announced 70,000 SQM of speculative development in the Hauts-de-France region. Two new warehouses at Magna Park Arras and G-Park Lormaison, located in Pas-de-Calais and the Oise region respectively, are being developed on a speculative basis and will be available in 2022.

GLP is pleased to continue the development of Magna Park Arras with a second 50,000 SQM building, which will be available in September 2022. This follows the delivery of a 25,000 SQM warehouse a few months ago, which is already partially leased.

Magna Park Arras, standing at a height of 12 meters, is suitable for large-scale projects, logistics and industrial activities, and offers excellent transport links to France and Europe via the A1 and A26 motorways. Further flexibility is provided through the warehouses’ five internal zones, easing transport links for customers.

The second warehouse announced is located at G-Park Lormaison in the Oise region, near Amblainville and just 50 km from Paris. The building comprises a total of 18,767 SQM, with 3 zones, 19 dock doors and parking for 100 cars on site with electric charging points.

This logistics building is aiming for BREEAM Very Good certification and will be available in May 2022. Its location at the gateway to the Île-de-France region, with fast access to the A16 motorway, offers an ideal location for logistics activities while benefiting from advantageous property taxes.

As part of GLP’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, both buildings will benefit from a range of leading sustainability features including rainwater harvesting, energy monitoring, LED lighting technology and reduced embodied carbon in the construction process.

Philippe Graziani, Country Director for GLP France, explains: “The Hauts-de-France region continues to experience strong demand for high-quality logistics space. Our developments are in carefully selected locations with excellent transport links to key areas of France and Europe. Each unit will be developed with flexibility at the forefront of both the design and construction processes, enabling customers to tailor the space to individual requirements. We look forward to discussions with new and existing customers, working alongside them to meet their specific operational requirements and helping them grow their businesses”
