Madrid, 28 July 2022 – GLP today announced that it has expanded its team in Spain with the appointment of Sergio García Alonso as Asset Manager.

The appointment will allow GLP to benefit from García’s experience as a Property Manager, as well as his extensive knowledge in the field of client management and his deep understanding of the nuances of the Spanish market.

In his new role, García will be directly responsible for liaising with the tenants of GLP’s assets and responding to any circumstances that arise during the leasing period. This function was previously carried out by Miguel Monreal, GLP Spain’s current Development Director.

García, a technical mining engineer, has worked in the sector for 6 years, having previously managed the maintenance and security of real estate assets at BNP Paribas as Technical Manager. Prior to this, he was responsible for the asset management of various portfolios of industrial assets at CBRE as Property Manager. Before moving into the industrial sector, García worked in the field of occupational risk prevention and in the technical office of other companies.

Sergio García Alonso commented: « After several years as a Property Manager in the real estate industry, the opportunity to join the GLP team as Asset Manager is something that excites me. I look forward to being part of an exceptional company and joining an ambitious project like the one GLP is currently developing in Spain. »

Óscar Heras, Director of GLP in Spain, commented: “The addition of Sergio to the team reinforces our capacity to manage our properties in Spain, allowing us to continue to offer an excellent service to our clients and, at the same time, having a greater ability to manage our portfolio. Sergio’s industry expertise, prior experience and dynamism fits perfectly with our team in Spain and the values of GLP.”
