GLP acquires 30,000 SQM of land in Amsterdam
Amsterdam, 22 November 2021 – GLP, one of the largest investors and developers of logistics warehouses and distribution parks in Europe, today announced that it has acquired 30,000 SQM of land located at Business Park Amsterdam Osdorp, The Netherlands from Heembouw Bedrijfsruimten West B.V. Construction that has commenced on a 24,000 SQM Grade-A warehouse facility for City Distribution. This addition is part of GLP’s plan to further expand its presence in the Netherlands.
Upon delivery, the facility is long-leased to a Dutch based pharmaceutical wholesale company for their last mile delivery and it will be constructed based on the most recent modern warehouse specifications. The facility will have a BREEAM Very Good rating upon completion. The expected delivery of the asset will be Q4 2022.
Business Park Amsterdam Osdorp is strategically located in the Netherlands, close to Schiphol Airport and the port of Amsterdam. In addition to easy access to transport by water and air, the warehouse is close to the A4, A5 and A9 motorways. In addition, the A2 motorway is an important connection between the Amsterdam region and the north and south of the Netherlands, as well as the A1 connecting the region with the north of the Netherlands.
