Paris, August 1st, 2024 GLP, a leading global business builder, owner, developer, and operator of logistics real estate, digital infrastructure, renewable energy, and related technologies, has today announced the completion of GLP Park Tours, a state-of-the-art sustainable building.

GLP Park Tours is the first gasless site built in France by GLP. It benefits from heat pumps which will provide 100% of the site’s heating and cooling. Optimally used, this system will reduce the site’s CO2 emissions by 8 to 9 times during the operating phase. The building also includes a phytoremediation water treatment system which uses living plants to filter water for the building. This replaces traditional hydrocarbon filters and creates a wetland environment conducive to biodiversity. Additionally, up to 90% of the usable roof is equipped with solar panels, generating c. 4.9MW of electricity, equal to the energy consumption of c.1120 homes per year.

The 63,000m² cross-dock building is strategically located within the Porte de Touraine business park, benefitting from enhanced road infrastructure and services designed for the area. The site also has direct access to the A10 motorway, providing excellent connectivity to the Paris-Bordeaux transport corridor thereby facilitating the smooth flow of goods and services across the country.

Philippe Graziani, Country Director, GLP France, commented: «We’re proud to bring to market this outstanding building.  Its high specification design and a wide range of modern and innovative features makes this a unique and market-leading asset in an enviable location.  GLP Park Tours will also benefit from the region’s robust economic dynamism and serve as a strong logistics hub.”

Ambroise Dhellemmes, Senior Construction Manager, GLP France, said: “In line with GLP’s approach to constructing market leading warehouses, we have taken an  innovative approach to the construction of GLP Park Tours. The installation of a phytoremediation water treatment is testament to this, enabling us to generate less waste and help reduce our carbon footprint.”
