Paris, April 11, 2023 – GLP has announced the development of G-Park Tours. The building will be delivered in the first quarter of 2024.
With a total surface area of 63,000 SQM, this large-scale project is ideally located in a dynamic region. G-Park Tours is strategically located within “la ZAC de la Porte de Touraine” in Autrèche and benefits from adapted road infrastructure and optimal access to the A10 motorway. This cross-dock warehouse is composed of 10 cells, 2 office plots and has 94 dock doors.
Construction will be completed with a “Green Worksite” charter for its low environmental impact. In line with GLP’s rigorous ESG commitments, the future building will be developed according to the highest environmental standards and is aiming for BREEAM Excellent certification.
In terms of energy performance, G-Park Tours will be the first GLP France building to be heated solely by heat pumps. In addition, 40% of the roof will be equipped with photovoltaic panels, equivalent to the consumption of 1,000 homes per year.
To preserve the site’s biodiversity, GLP plans to plant local flora, as well as install insect hotels and beehives. Sheep will also be integrated into the project for the „eco-pasture“ part.
Philippe Graziani, Managing Director of GLP France, commented: „We are continuing our development in attractive regions such as the Centre-Val-de-Loire. Its strategic location for logistics, dynamism in terms of employment, and the advantages that the site will offer once delivered, with its various services, are real assets for our customers.”
Gwenaëlle Nardy, Senior Development Manager, stated: „At GLP, we aim for sustainable excellence with resilient measures throughout the life cycle of our buildings. We’re proud to be building a warehouse with the highest ESG standards and harmony with the surrounding environment.”
Brigitte Dupuis, President of the Community of Municipalities of the Castelrenaudais, said: „We are delighted to welcome GLP to the Porte de Touraine – A10 Business Park. This is a first-rate land and real estate offer that is highly sought after by companies in the Central Val de Loire and the Touraine regions. Centrally located to Tours and Blois , the Castelrenaudais is the fifth largest economic center in the Indre-et-Loire region that features more than 400 companies, including businesses such as Radiall, Arche, Remy Garnier, Forbo Floors, Humery, Maison BOINET, etc.“
