9th November 2022 – GLP, the leading global investment manager and business builder in logistics, digital infrastructure, renewable energy and related technologies, today announced that the last building developed at GLP’s logistics park in Modlniczka, near Kraków, will have Cummins as its main customer. The building will be ready next spring.

GLP Kraków Airport Logistics Centre offers a total of 174,000 SQM of dedicated logistics and light industrial space. There is still 2,500 SQM available for lease in the building, which will be completed in May 2023. The site is strategically located 300 metres from the Kraków Ring Road (Expressway S52) junction, within a mere 1 km of the city limits and 4 km from Kraków-Balice International Airport.

The development, which is GLP’s largest project in Lesser Poland, will be home to a division of Cummins that provides after-sales service for all products powered by Cummins engines. Cummins delivers solutions for specialist vehicles and critical applications, e.g. power generators. At GLP Kraków Airport Logistics Centre, Cummins will open a 3,500 SQM high horsepower engine rebuild facility. The company will also use 940 SQM of office space.

Cummins’ brand-new facility in Kraków is situated centrally in Europe to offer strategic support to customers across the entire region in all market segments. It will provide greater capacity, enhanced capability and will increase Cummins’ European footprint. The $10 million investment, due to open late 2023, will be the new base for Cummins Poland, which will also be home to its main operational facility in the country, to include a warehouse, workshop, and administrative offices. Staff will transfer to this new improved facility, located only 7km from the currently site. The company anticipates the creation of several great new employment opportunities in the area around the new rebuild centre.

Artur Szczepaniak, Senior Technical Development Manager at GLP, commented: “Located near Kraków, our park is an ideal solution for businesses that combine manufacturing or maintenance operations with office work or customer service. The latest building within GLP Kraków Airport Logistics Centre has been designed in close cooperation with the main customer, taking into account the specific requirements of Cummins, thanks to which its staff, regardless of the type of tasks performed, will benefit from an optimal working environment.”
