GLP launches two logistics projects in Poland

Warsaw, 31st March 2022 – GLP, a leading investor and developer of logistics warehouses and distribution parks, has launched two new logistics projects in Poland as part of its ongoing activity in the country. GLP plans to deliver a total of approximately 240,000 SQM worth of projects in Poland in 2022. The two latest projects, started this year and scheduled to complete in autumn, are the third phase of construction at Poznań Airport Logistics Centre and a new building at Warsaw V Logistics Centre.

The latest building in GLP’s Poznań Airport Logistics Centre, located within 5 minutes of the airport, totals more than 28,600 SQM. The new project at Warsaw V Logistics Centre offers 23,400 SQM of industrial and office space and is strategically located next to the A2 Motorway junction in Grodzisk Mazowiecki near Warsaw.

Both projects meet BREEAM certification requirements at the “Very Good” level. The buildings offer their users a storage height of 12 meters as well as enhanced access to natural light in the loading dock area, with an above-standard number of skylights. The rooftops are solar-ready, which translates into additional utility savings. Green solutions also include electric vehicle charging stations and bike shelters.

Both projects are also biodiversity-oriented and include landscaped areas for relaxation. In addition, drivers delivering or collecting goods will have access to dedicated toilets.

Jarosław Czechowicz, Country Manager at GLP, remarks: “We started new projects in Poznań and near Warsaw in response to strong interest from clients in both locations. In both cases, we’re talking about buildings with very good access to key road routes situated in the immediate vicinity of a metropolitan area with a base of a few million end users. For both sites, we also invested in a full range of sustainable solutions to ensure that our customers can not only expand their operations but also see long-term savings from operating a logistics space.”

At the same time, GLP continues to build projects initiated last year, including in Magnice near Wrocław (41,000 SQM available in the first two buildings) and Gdańsk, expanding its Pomeranian Logistics Centre with a fifth building (totalling 39,000- SQM and fully leased), one of the few buildings of the type in Poland to be certified BREEAM “Excellent”.
