GLP plans to develop 14,000 SQ M logistics centre, G-Park Santa Perpetua

GLP, a leading investor and developer of logistics warehouses and distribution parks, today announces the acquisition of a 24,500 SQ M plot of land in Santa Perpètua de la Mogoda (Barcelona).

The plot, GLP’s second investment in Catalonia, will be developed into a modern logistics warehouse able to accommodate up to 13,900 SQ M of storage space. G-Park Santa Perpetua will be flexible in design, enabling it to be adapted quickly to individual customer needs.

The building will be developed to a BREEAM Very Good certification, reflecting GLP’s commitment to developing sustainable spaces across its European portfolio. In addition, the logistics warehouse will have dedicated energy-saving features, bicycle parking and photovoltaic panels, among many other sustainability and wellness features.

The project is in a strategic logistics location, in the Can Bernades industrial zone, next to the C-59 and the AP7 accesses at the level of the CIM Valles, 18 KM from Barcelona. This location will allow for the warehouse to act as a last mile distribution centre, as well as distribution hub for Barcelona.

Óscar Heras, Country Manager of GLP in Spain, said: “We are proud and excited about our second logistics project in Catalonia, the result of our commitment to this strategic logistics market, where logistics land is so valuable. We are also talking about one of the best logistics areas in Barcelona, which, together with the excellence of our warehouses, makes us believe that it will be very well received by our customers and investors”.
